Reasons for the incarnation of Gaursundar

  Lord Gaursundar urged that chanting the Holy name of the Lord and the Sankirtana yoga dharma are the most excellent and effective means for the spiritual liberation of conditioned souls and establishing themselves at the Holy feet of the Lord. 

The main reason for the appearance of the Lord Gaursundar is to deliver them in the age of Kali and establish them in Yuga dharma. The path of sankirtan yagna and the congregational chanting of the Lord give the same results as people get after immense meditation in Satya yuga, worship in Dvarpa yuga and sacrifices during the Treta yuga. 

Gaursundar is popular as the most merciful incarnation of Lord as He distributes the love of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha through the congregational chanting of the Lord without any discrimination. 



Internal reasons for the appearance of Lord Gaursundar

Lord Gaursundar primarily appeared in Kaliyug with the intention of relishing the ecstatic love of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna was willing to relish the profound devotional love which Goddess Smrimati Radharani feels in His love. To understand the love, He took the Mahavaab of Goddess Srimati Radharani. His beautiful form won the hearts of the natives of navadwip. Lord Gaursundar experienced the ecstasy of Goddess Srimati Radharani in this incarnation. 

In Kali Yug, people became degraded, and they had no interest in spiritual knowledge. To stop the suffering, Lord Gaursundar appeared and made people spiritually perfect through the congregational chanting of the Holy names of the Lord. Srimati Radharani gets the highest bliss after serving Lord Krishna. Lord Gaursundar relished this bliss in His incarnation. 

External reasons for the appearance of Lord Gaursundar

The Holy name of the Lord is heard in Navadwip and all over the country after the appearance of Lord Gaursundar. When the people in the country became absorbed in the Maya, they forgot the reasons for the appearance of the master. 

When Narad ji saw the conditions of the suffering souls, he prayed to Lord Krishna for deliverance in Dwarka. Lord Krishna promised to incarnate Himself on this earth and deliver people from materialistic conditions of life.

 Vishnupriya Thaurani is a prominent figure in the lineage of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Kashinath Pandit arranged the wedding of Lord Gaursundar with Goddess Vishnupriya Thakurani.
